Well, so much for the *expected* due date!
Elijah Alexander ("Alex" to his friends ;-) ) was born at 11:59 am on Thursday, April 12 at North Florida Womens Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He was 7 lb, 10 oz at birth and 20" long, and came out screaming his lungs. He is healthy in every way. We will be in the hospital until Saturday morning (I'm home for an hour to grab some things and create this post). Visitors are fine if you give us some notice first!
I'm attaching the pictures we've taken so far, and I'll see if I can figure out how to post some video that we got. These are the first pictures after his birth!

Congratulations, and welcome, Alex! I'm so glad that you inherited your hair from your mother. Hopefully, you will get to keep it.
You should be getting home about now, so welcome home, and play nice with Shadow -- no tail-pulling, ok?

Congratulations!!!!! He is so adorable. My mom is so excited for you guys that she just goes on and on. I am getting the hint that she's ready for grandchildren. Hopefully, Alex will fill her fix for a while. I also heard Shadow had a great time with all his pals at the James household. Best wishes, Christy
